One of the things audiences look forward to each year at
Broadway Bares is the original opening number. Since 1996, renowned theatre composers and lyricists including Andrew Lippa, Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman have created catchy, original songs for each year’s theme, while a Broadway star lends their vocal chops to start things off with a bang. There have been many requests over the years to have a recording made of these songs and, at long last, here it is!
